grapebunchThe certificate course in theology and life-long education, Go into my Vineyard: Preparing for Pastoal Leadership begins again on Tuesday 14 September, 2010, in St Catherine's College, Armagh.  Go Into My Vineyard is being offered by Mater Dei Institute of Education, a College of Dublin City University in partnership with the Office of Pastoral Renewal and Family Ministry, Archdiocese of Armagh. The first module for the year is an introduction to Old Testament theology.

Those words, taken from the Gospel we have just heard, reminded me of one of the last events of Monsignor McEntegart’s life.  As some of you may know Mons McEntegart was Confessor and Spiritual Director to the Missionaries of Charity of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta in Armagh over the last few years.

The death took place late last night of Monsignor Liam McEntegart, PE,VG,  suddenly at his home in Dungannon, We deeply mourn the death of an outstanding pastor.

CONCERNING A PRIEST OF THE ARCHDIOCESE OF ARMAGH

After celebrating Vigil Mass in a parish in the Archdiocese of Armagh, Bishop Gerard Clifford spoke to the congregation about a decision made concerning their Parish Priest.

Bishop Clifford said “I have spoken to Cardinal Sean Brady who is away at the moment. He has instructed me to make the following statement.

This week the Archdiocese has been made aware of a complaint relating to child safeguarding against a priest of the diocese.

AN INDIAN REFLECTION

watermarkOn 1st July 2010 a group of twelve volunteers from the Armagh Diocesan Youth Council, in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity (NI), arrived in the city of Bangalore, India.  This was the latest in a series of projects between ADYC and HFHNI over recent years.  The volunteers ranged in ages from 19 -29 and were also accompanied by a priest of the Diocese, Fr. Paul Byrne.
