HOOLEY IN COOLEY
Good times ahead for the Community of Cooley. For a number of weeks now a group of young people from the Parish of have been meeting with local priest Fr Tommy McNulty and Armagh Diocesan Youth Officer Hugo MacOscar to discuss how as a group they can become more involved in the life of their parish and community. The group all students at Bush PP School Dundalk as well as exploring ways of deepening their participation and understanding of the liturgy of the eucharist and other areas of spirtituality. They have also been exploring how they might best help those in need both on a local and international scale. |

ADVENT AND CHRISTMAS
Sleigh bells ring! Cinnamon and cloves! The sounds and smells of Christmas. For several weeks now the shops have been selling Christmas to us. We’ve been bombarded with advertisements, trying to get us to buy the latest piece of technology or the most perfect piece of jewellery – whatever in fact will make up the ‘ideal Christmas gift’. So the pressure is being piled high, from all corners. |

A Workshop in Sacred Music which will take place in late February. The Diocesan Liturgy Commission has organised another evening for musicians, singers, choir people, cantors and indeed anyone who may be interested in Church/Sacred Music. On the evening, some time will be given to focusing on Music for the Seasons of Lent and Easter which are approaching.

Cardinal Sean Brady and Bishop Gerry Clifford ratified the Armagh Diocese's new Interim Policy and Procedures for Safeguarding Children on Friday 8th January 2010.
